JID: God Does Like World Tours (Tilburg)

What a show. First, Mick Jenkins as an opener was incredible. The vibes were great, his poignant lyrics are seemingly evergreen, and his performance was impeccable.

Then came JID, and man this guy knows how to put on a performance. It started out with some songs from his most recent album "God Does Like Ugly", and moved into more mosh-heavy songs from earlier in his catalogue.

The moshpits at the end during Stick (the closer for the night) were absolutely nuts. While the crowd felt a bit more respectful compared to the show 3 years ago, there was still a lot of pushing going on when JID came down to sign some stuff for the fans at the very front. So much pushing, in fact, that the girl standing next to me fainted and had to be lifted over the barricade to be brought to safety.

My favorites from tonight were Of Blue, 151 Rum, and the Dreamville cut Down Bad.
