Samara Cyn: Detour

Published on September 12th, 2026

I think we're gonna be hearing a lot more of Samara Cyn over the coming years. She's already carved her own path into the rap/hip-hop game, and her most recent album Detour (while short) punches way above its weight in my opinion. Would not surprise me if she was right when she said "I'll be on the main stage next time!".

The vibe here was absolutely unmatched. Spontaneous dance solo's breaking out in the crowd, one of the people in front of me got pulled on stage to rap overkast.'s verse on Bushwick (and absolutely killed it!), and Samara Cyn's vulnerability really pulled me into the performance.

There were some parts of the show where she addressed the audience where she looked and sounded genuinely nervous to be in front of this many people, and that made it all the more real. She very quickly snapped out of that nervousness when the next song started though, as if a switch flipped and she was suddenly back in her element. Amazing to see.

Loved this show. I'm definitely happy I got to see her live before she blows up; I'll cherish this show forever.
