Lexa Gates: I AM tour

This was a fun show! The airconditioned venue was a nice respite from the ongoing heatwave across Europe, and I enjoyed the music. She's been on my radar ever since she dropped Elite Vessel (as I'm sure is the case for a lot of her new(er) fans, and I was happy to see she did a small European tour to promote her new album I AM.

The show was nice and chill, with her weaving intimate and personal rhymes with fun and higher-energy songs from her catalogue. At times it did feel she was just "going through the motions" though, she didn't look like she was enjoying much of the show at all, but that could have just been her nervousness; I heard several people from the crowd say she is quite a shy/nervous performer when they saw her a previous time.

Anyhow, a fun way to spend an evening, and it gave me reason to re-listen to a couple of her albums which I've been enjoying the past few days.
