Joey Valence & Brae: HYPERYOUTH tour in Paradiso

Did I see them 3 days ago? Yes. Am I excited about seeing them again? HELL YES!

I opted to sit on the balcony for this one to see the show from another perspective and perhaps walk away not quite as sweaty as I did last time. As dumb luck would have it, Joey Valence's parents sat down next to me! I had a little chat with them before the show; they're both lovely people and let me know Joey is very down to earth as a person. That's nice to hear :)

Unfortunately there was no opener for this one. I quite liked WHATMORE at the previous show, but they had to fly back home because of prior commitments. Oh well, the crowd would warm up pretty quickly once Joey and Brae take the stage.

The show itself was just as explosive as the last one. Even though the crowd had to be taught how to properly deal with crowdsurfers ("you're supposed to bring them to the front, not just take them for a lap around the venue!"), they eventually got the hang of it and of course the deluge of people crowdsurfing would not stop after that.

I particularly liked HAVE TO CRY, changes, and DISCO TOMORROW.
